Holiday Corporate Gift Baskets

When you work for a large corporation, everyone comes together to work as part of a larger team. Therefore, when someone goes on vacation, it is important for everyone to pick up the slack. Sometimes, people even win a trip through work. For example, one of our colleagues recently got back home to LA. We work in a relatively large technology company in the region, and it is important to get away from time to time. My colleague took a vacation to a treehouse in Canada. He really had a lot of freedom there, and he was super grateful that we all gave him time off.

We don't get to go on vacation very often, and he decided to bring back a bunch of interesting items for us. He put together some of the best gourmet gift baskets I had ever seen. It was obvious that our colleague was incredibly grateful that we didn't let him fall too far behind while he was on vacation, and we were grateful he decided to show his appreciation. It turns out that our colleague got a bit too used to living up in the trees during his time in Canada. While he was gone, we worked together to try to put together a nice stream of letters that he could read when he got back. This gave him an opportunity to really understand how much he meant to us. Even though we were able to survive in his absence, it goes without saying that the team works much better when everyone is there. Of course, everyone deserves to take time off from time to time, but it doesn't mean we don't feel the impact. If he didn't come back, we would have some serious issues. As he was enjoying his letters, we were enjoying our gifts. It really was a special moment that reminds me just how great it is to work as part of a larger team.

Everyone on the team really is incredibly special. Frankly, it has been a very challenging year. Even though we got to enjoy some of the best office gift baskets around, the office gift baskets really don't mean nearly as much as having us all working together. Many of us had to work from home for a long time, and even though our bosses sent us unique gift baskets from time to time, it is better to be back in the office. It was difficult to have him leave for Canada for a little while, but he brought back a gift basket for office staff that really made us remember how to work together.

People have had to deal with quarantine, working from home, commuting issues, vacation concerns, and numerous other problems. Even though things are not necessarily back to normal yet, this is a sign that we have grown closer as a team. When everything first started, I was worried that I wouldn't be as close to my team members. Clearly, we are tighter than we have ever been in the past. I think this is reflected in our work productivity.

Without a doubt, the best people deserve the best gifts. That is probably why there were so many gift baskets for employees working from home. When I was looking for a job, I had a lot on my mind. I had to think about where I wanted to live, how much money I needed to make, and what I would do with that money. I didn't think as much about company culture, but it is obvious that that is just as important as anything else. I was really grateful to have this opportunity to bond with people I have grown close with during the past few years.

Clearly, it was quite an interesting adventure. It is incredibly hot here, particularly during the summer.
