The World of Pot Pies is a sea of sameness. This simple yet comforting food has pleased both children and adults alike with its rich, creamy filling and flaky, pastry crust. While the dish dates back to the Roman Empire, there has been little evolution to the structure, usage or creative. Selling the beloved pot pie to the masses has been a value-driven race for a majority of the players. Blake’s brings a fresh approach yet already feels dated. The Alpha Pot Pie has a more modern, graphic look to appeal to its plant-based audience, but misses the mark in other areas. That’s the extent of it, the rest are, well, the same. So, now what? Enter Aunt Ethel’s (Badass) Pot Pies.
