TAALI, in Hindi, means "gesture of celebration," and the greeting manifests itself physically through a "high five" to showcase extra excitement.  Such a sentiment was the inspiration behind Taali Foods, the premier popped water lily seeds.

The makers of this brand have always been snackaholics, but found that most snacks are highly processed, fried, or made of ingredients like potato, corn, and wheat. It was time for a change.  Time for simple, natural products that are delicious and guilt-free.

Water lily pops are made from seeds of an aquatic crop, known as Euryale Ferox (part of the water lily family).

This plant is found largely in Northern India and is an extremely important crop for the farmers of that region. Lily or lotus seeds have been used in Indian and Chinese medicine for many centuries and also find an important place in the practice of Ayurveda.

The seeds from the water lily plant are harvested, graded, dried and then popped to get this all-natural plant-based snack. Popped water lily seeds are slowly and carefully roasted to perfection, giving them a naturally crunchy texture. Taali Foods promises that their products are made of whole, natural ingredients that you can pronounce and spell.
