Born from a Farmer's Grit and Grandma's Wisdom: The Ugly Company began on a tractor seat in California's San Joaquin Valley, where founder Ben Moore dreamed of running his own farm. After serving in the Army and returning home, he found family farms fading and his own struggling to surivve. While trucking discarded fruit across the valley, Ben was struck by the waste and inspired by his grandma's old-school fruit drying methods. Fuled by purpose and a list of 200 ideas, he built a brand that challenges perceptions and celebrates imperfection-with a name that makes people stop and think.
