About Fatty Sundays
Growing up, Sundays were a family day for them to kick back, relax and indulge. On Sundays they let go, enjoyed what made them happy and never thought twice about it. Lucky for them, their mom, Karen, was a seriously good baker (and still is to this day!) Rainbow sprinkle chocolate covered pretzels were her thing, along with her world famous chocolate brownies! She was the queen of making drool-worthy treats and putting together the ultimate gift packages for any occasion, big or small! They also loved getting soft serve yogurt on Sundays and smothering it with all of the candy toppings their mom had in the pantry.
In 2010, they had that *aha* moment when they decided it was time to share their most-favorite sweet + salty treats with the world. They set out to give their Mom’s famous rainbow sprinkle pretzels the spotlight and also create a line of gourmet pretzels in never-been-done-before-flavors. They were truly reinventing and modernizing chocolate covered pretzels as the world knew them!
Melt, dip, sprinkle, taste. Melt, dip, sprinkle, taste. This was their day-to-day for many months as they tested pretzel flavor ideas in Mom’s kitchen in Long Island, New York.
Fast forward to 2012 and Fatty Sundays was officially born! Ali (the middle sister!) left her job as a graphic designer and Lauren (the younger sister!) deferred her job in accounting. Days were spent building out their complete chocolate covered pretzel product line and website, and sharing their brand and story with the world.
Now based in a cute (and much bigger!) production kitchen in Brooklyn, NY, their family business continues to grow, with a rockstar team that helps them each step of the way!
