They’re Bella and Semira, Iranian Americans raised in Hawaiʻi and lifelong best friends. They’ve always believed that life is better sour—now they’ve created a product that proves it. Better Sour celebrates the journey of sour in irresistibly snackable gummy form, bringing you global flavors you might’ve been missing from the candy aisle. (Think pomegranate, guava, calamansi!)

Better Sour combines their heritage and memories of childhood in the Hawaiian Islands with a celebration of culture through sour. As any Iranian will tell you, they’re obsessed with sour.

The flavor is central to their cuisine, from dried fruits and snacks to many of their savory dishes. In Hawaiʻi, too, sour is everywhere: strong culinary influences from the Asia-Pacific region are coupled with the Islands’ host of tropical fruits and sour dried snacks.

They’re thrilled to be sharing these delicious flavors without all the junk! Their gummies are always 100% plant-based, with no more than 3g of sugar per bag. Of course their gummy candy is free from sugar alcohols, artificial colors and flavors.

They can’t wait for you to discover every flavor, founded by a lifetime of stories and discoveries between two best friends—though these days, they refer to themselves as “Sour Seekers.”
