I have always had a passion for artisan baking. It ran in the family.
The story behind this business idea began when I was a child. Growing up in a family of bakers, I was familiar with authentic ethnic baked goods. Every holiday or special occasion I would help my Mom and Nana bake dozens and dozens of a wide variety of cookies and pastries, from Swedish Heirlooms, to Italian Biscotti, and my Nana’s Little Egg Cookies scented with anise and lemon, as well as tried and true American favorites like Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter, plus so, so many more!
Only a few years ago I asked my dear Aunt Betty if she would teach me how to make her highly sought after fennome Hungarian pastries – bursting with apricot and prune jams, as well as her homemade delectable walnut filling. Aunt Betty would mix, roll, fill, and bake dozens and dozens of these delectable swirls of filled buttery pastries. They were so special and always the treat that resulted in an empty plate. I was inspired to launch Heirzoom Bakery to offer authentic ethnic baked goods to everyone the way they were meant to be. What makes the company so special is that we are not just a manufacturer of premium specialty baked goods. We are so much more than that!
After taking a bite of our pastries and cookies I'm often told something like "Wow, I remember my grandma made something like this but I haven't had it in years!" We bring our customers back to a place almost forgotten.
I thank you all for your support and appreciation of my culinary passion.
I am delighted to share my family traditions with you!
Savor the Memory!
